Different types of cookies
There are several different types of cookies available.
Set by the site and used to recognize you, as you move around the page. It remembers, for example, whether you are logged in. Session cookies are automatically deleted, when you close your browser.
Used for collecting traffic data on the site (not person attributable).
Persistence cookies (3. part cookies)
Set by one 3. parts program/ website, that the site is linked to, for example, in the context of a campaign. This expires on a given date.
Cookies are stored for a long time
Cookies delete themselves after a certain number of months (may vary), but they are renewed after each visit.
Reject or delete cookies
You can always reject cookies on your computer by changing the settings in your browser. Where you find the settings depends on, which browser you are using. You should be aware of, that if you reject cookies, there are many features and services, which you cannot use, as they presuppose, that the site can remember, the choices you make.
